Works great for all my needs I can play most games around 100fps at least. The sound quality is great. Gets a little hot when it’s not on a solid flat surface but otherwise the cooling works well. Boots fast and battery lasts a good while on high performance. All in all a solid choice for stable gaming/work laptop.

Just got it and updated the bios and drivers, great performance so far! The screen is very clear and bright. Plays all my steam games flawlessly.(i play games that are graphically demanding like inzoi, subnautica 2, TES skyrim, fallout 4, TES oblivion remastered, no mans sky) Fast websurfing and downloading, The 16 gb of ram seems to be the perfect fit for modern spec. requirements. The lights are a cool feature. But i find myself turning the bottom lights, but keeping on the keyboard lights to save battery and my eyesight. Overall good quality built machine with an awesome plastic and no tool functional bottom casing.

The cooling system is discreet and quiet, but the bottom center does tend to get hot while playing games, so i recommend just tweeking settings like game graphics, to lower overall pc and power usage.

Nice game machine and good battery life. Great shipping. Stays cool enough, especially with a lap fan under it. Good resolution and 3D graphics. I’ve used it for two months and would buy it again. Many mods (led lights, brightness, sound, etc, can be done with top extra row of buttons. It’s a delightful game and movie computer. Good graphics card. Re: get it with as much RAM as you can afford.

If you're hesitating about buying this Asus ROG Strix, don't doubt it—buy it. I’ve been using it for a month now, and it has been excellent since day one. Here is a review coming from my experience:

Pros:

Performance: The CPU and GPU are incredibly powerful; they handle everything with almost 0 problems.

Audio Quality: The Dolby Atmos implementation is excellent, even without external speakers or headphones. It sounds crisp and immersive.

Build & Cooling: As expected from the premium ROG line, the chassis quality is top-class, and the cooling system keeps thermals well-managed.

Screen: For the $1,299 price point, it’s a great panel. It’s vibrant and clear, though I wish it were slightly brighter.

Cons:

Windows Hello: It’s a nice feature, but it’s inconsistent. It frequently fails to recognize me, forcing me to use my PIN. It should be more reliable, especially in low light.

Network Port (LAN): I’ve noticed the physical port feels a bit loose. Sometimes the cable loses connection, which forces a switch to Wi-Fi, incredibly annoying during gaming. I have to position the cable just right to keep it stable. (I recommend checking if your unit has this issue early on).

RAM: 16GB is starting to feel limiting in 2026. For a smooth, future-proof experience, I highly recommend upgrading to 32GB or more.

Recommendation:

-Use it with the AC on if you want to cool your laptop enough so this one doesn't suffer of thermal throttling and if you can afford a great laptop cooler buy it (I recommend Llano coolers.)

-Boot from 0 (if you know how to do it): This is for you to start in 0 and avoid Asus services and extra-softwares that it comes by default. Use G-Helper instead of Armoury Crate btw.

Verdict: I have zero regrets. Despite the minor issues with the LAN port and the webcam sensor, this laptop is a beast and offers fantastic value for the money.

Been using this for a little over a week now, the RTX 5060 performs superb! The screen is beautiful! Especially for being a laptop screen compared to an OLED display or monitor, it looks GREAT, the colors and overall image are very sharp looking

All of my games( AAA titles or otherwise) run at high or ultra settings with high frame rates and no stutter! Going to be upgrading ram and storage down the line

Runs GTA V Enhanced on High RT over 100fps in most scenarios

I’ve also run Warframe with the “high preset” and runs over 120fps

it looks beautiful and performs beautiful! I’m very picky when it comes to frame rate/graphics(coming from an avid desktop user…I have high expectations)

and this laptop performs as good or better than it looks! I’m impressed

The speakers aren’t super impressive, and aren’t super loud or anything I wish they were a little better, but they’re not terrible by any means, just not super LOUD, most gamers would probably be using a headset anyway for voice chat/streaming/gameplay anyway…don’t let this steer you away, this is a great laptop despite not having “the best sound system in the world”

I Don’t notice any excessive fan noise or overheating issues of any kind

I’m using it everyday for gaming and I can’t leave it alone! When I have lan parties at friends houses, my trusty machine comes with me!

I’m always excited to open the lid, plug it in and start gaming! The RGB lighting is gorgeous! It’s also fun to show off to friends and family ;)

I’ve owned many gaming laptops over the last 12 years or so, this is my second machine with an 5060 in it, and this one has been my favorite! Better than any of the rest!

I don't know if a person can run two virtual computers at the same time such as Windows 10 and Ubuntu on VirtualBox. I have a little issue with taking screenshots where one of the keys for taking screenshots gets turned off and I have to use Windows Snipping Tool but it can be managed easily by turning the key back on. Other than that the computer works well. Keyboard works, the 3 USB ports work,16GB RAM works, audio works, etc. I am able to run benchmark hashcat tests in the Terminal Emulator with Kali Linux with this machine.

Have not had it long, not really a hardcore gamer, mostly play WoT, which this is overkill for. I do like the RGB, though the keyboard isn't the easiest to ready(prefer the keyboard on my MSI thin 15, much easier to see for these old eyes). I use a separate mouse/KB combo so that negates the laptops kb issue for me. Everything else with this Asus is far superior to the MSI. Ease of access to upgrade drive and memory is the major perk with this Asus, it's a breeze. Added a Samsung 990 2tb NVMe.

It has a quality feel, it's fast, the price was right. Wifi works great, and so far no heating issues. Playing WoT probably isn't push it much, but it's sitting on a Klim turbo frost cooling pad, mainly for having filtered air entering the laptop. The laptop fits this cooling pad perfectly and it's not noisy at all. No issues holding up to my TV using HDMI to get a nice big picture while blowing up tanks.

If I could give this laptop zero stars I would and hopefully this review saves someone from ever buying an ASUS laptop or any of their products. I bought this laptop in late September of 2025 as a birthday present for myself and by early-mid December I was already having issues. The cpu and gpu were both running at 100% usage, the cpu was getting up to 89 degrees Celsius, and my fps was dropping to single digits (anywhere from 1-8 fps constantly) any time I would try to play ANY game, to try to help that, I bought an $80 laptop cooling stand to try to cool the laptop down and it was STILL reaching high 80’s. I sent the computer in for repair under warranty back in December of 2025. I got the laptop back and everything was somehow worse and the repair summary they sent said that all they did was change a pad and add tape. I got tired of messing with it so I didn’t do anything with it for 3 months. It is now march of 2026 as I’m writing this review and I just sent the laptop back for repair a second time last weekend. I got an email yesterday saying that their “repair technicians” (if you can even call them that) found no issues with the unit and they will be sending it back unrepaired unless I provide more information even though I’ve been on the phone with ASUS around 7 times in the past week confirming what I sent the laptop in for. Do NOT buy anything from asus, it’ll save you money and time. Go buy yourself a better computer from a company that actually cares about and helps their customers.

Muy buena laptop en general, los materiales y componentes son de buena calidad y he podido jugar la mayoría de juegos en alto o ultra a unos 60 a 70 fps como con Jedi survivor o 120 en Minecraft bedrock con vibrant visuals o 95 Minecraft java con shaders y mods para optimización, en cuanto temperaturas no pasaba de los 80 pero con forme paso el tiempo ahora toca los 95 pero aún no hay thermal throttling, considero un poco prematuro que a los 6 meses ya necesita mantenimiento pero en general la máquina es bastante buena: consejos si sabes de tecnología hazle undervolt, mantén la BIOS en 306 (las versiones recientes a esa dan un poco de problemas de latencia) y para la actualización de bios siempre en modo híbrido o optimus, ya que si actualizas en solo dgpu o solo icpu te puede dar problemas.

Good quality as expected, just the power cable plug abit loose and sometimes not detecting for charging.

I needed a powerful laptop for engineering. Compared to other gaming laptops, the Asus ROG is more premium and compact, making it more enjoyable to use. So far, no issues.

War machine, playing all sort of games on wide screen monitor on high graphics level, additionally put fan stand below. Works very well, decent laptop for price 🔥🔥🔥
