Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By using Adukoo you represent that the information you provide is accurate, that you have the legal authority to post the items or services you list, and that your use complies with all applicable laws of your country and the buyer's country.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. You are responsible for every action taken from your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, write to reachus@adukoo.com immediately and we will lock it pending verification. You may delete your account at any time from Profile settings; deletion is irreversible and removes all your listings and chat history.

3. Listings — what you can and cannot post

Adukoo is a general classifieds platform. You may post: physical goods (new or used), services, real estate, jobs, vehicles, electronics, livestock, agricultural produce, books, fashion, sporting goods, and most other lawfully tradeable items. You may NOT post:

• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or items designed primarily to inflict harm.
• Illegal drugs, prescription medication without a license, or drug paraphernalia.
• Counterfeit goods, knock-offs, or items that infringe a third-party trademark / copyright / patent.
• Wildlife, endangered species, or any item prohibited by CITES.
• Adult / pornographic content. Adukoo is a general-audience platform.
• Stolen goods, hacking tools, or services that violate computer-misuse laws.
• Recruitment ads that discriminate on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, caste, or disability.
• Multi-level-marketing pitches disguised as products.
• Cryptocurrencies, securities, or any financial instrument requiring SEBI / SEC / similar regulatory approval — unless you hold a license you can verify.

We use automated content moderation (text + image classifiers) and human review to detect prohibited content. Listings that violate this section are removed without notice. Repeat violations result in permanent account ban without refund of any active subscription.

4. Pricing on Adukoo

Posting an ad on Adukoo is free. There is no per-listing fee, no boost fee, and no paywall to chat with a seller. We pay for the platform via:

• Tasteful display advertising (clearly labeled Sponsored) served by Google AdSense and Adukoo's own ad network.
• Optional Verified-Business subscriptions for sellers who want 360° analytics, multi-store dashboards, priority dispute resolution, and a verified-business badge buyers can see.
• Affiliate partnerships with Amazon, Flipkart, and other partners — clearly labeled affiliate cards in dedicated rails; we never disguise these as organic listings.

We do NOT take a percentage of any sale you make on Adukoo. Buyer and seller transact directly. We are not the merchant of record.

5. Transactions — buyer and seller responsibility

Adukoo is a classifieds platform, not an escrow service. We provide the discovery, chat, and reputation infrastructure but the actual transaction — meeting, inspecting the goods, payment, delivery — happens directly between buyer and seller off-platform. You agree that:

• You will inspect goods before paying.
• For in-person sales, meet in a public place during daytime when reasonably possible.
• For online payments, prefer methods with buyer protection (UPI with chargeback, credit cards, PayPal Goods & Services). Avoid irreversible methods (wire, gift cards, crypto) with strangers.
• You will not hold Adukoo liable for the conduct of any other user, the quality of any item, or the success or failure of any transaction.

If a dispute arises and Verified-Business sellers are involved, we offer a free mediation service — write to reachus@adukoo.com within 7 days of the incident.

6. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the photos, descriptions, and other content you upload. By posting, you grant Adukoo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the Platform, in our marketing (e.g. featured-listings emails), and in syndicated SEO snippets — for as long as your listing is active. The licence ends when you delete the listing.

Adukoo's own intellectual property — the brand name, logo, design system, source code, and proprietary algorithms — belongs to Adukoo Tech. You may not scrape the Platform, build a competing service from our data, or use our brand without written permission.

7. Content moderation and removals

We may remove any listing, message, review, or account at our sole discretion if it violates these Terms, applicable law, or community standards. We will give reasons whenever possible. If you believe a removal was made in error, reply to the removal email and a human will review within 48 business hours.

8. Verified Business badge

The Verified Business badge is granted after we verify a business's registration documents (GSTIN, VAT, EIN, Company House number, or equivalent for your country). Verification involves human review and takes 2-7 business days. The badge can be revoked if the underlying credentials lapse or if the business engages in repeated policy violations.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adukoo Tech, its officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, goodwill, data, or business opportunity — arising out of your use of the Platform. Our maximum aggregate liability for any direct damages, in any 12-month period, is capped at the total fees you paid us during that period (which for the vast majority of users is zero).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Adukoo Tech harmless from any claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your listings, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Where local consumer-protection laws give you stronger rights than these Terms (e.g. EU Digital Services Act, UK Consumer Rights Act, California consumer law), those laws prevail to the extent of any conflict.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Platform evolves or law requires. Material changes will be notified at least 14 days in advance via email and a banner in your account. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.
